what is Outlast?

In the Greater New York City area, Outlast is a growing LGBTQ+ community. We host gatherings that renew body, mind, and spirit.

welcome letter from founder

It’s my hope that your experience here affirms your intrinsic value, especially in a world that hasn’t always made it easy for us to feel safe, seen, or worthy.

Please take this personally: you are enough.

If you’ve ever longed for an LGBTQ+ space that honors your joy, pain, and healing with care, you’re not alone. We all carry so much; I’ve yet to meet a queer person who hasn’t survived some form of harm. And it’s led me to wonder: if so many of us are struggling, why do we so often do it alone?

Healing spaces can be hard to find. Bars, clubs, and other social scenes offer connection, and for many of us, they’ve been lifelines. But my own experiences with trauma often left me craving deeper community and more restoration. That’s how Outlast was born.

This isn’t your average social mixer. We build nourishing relationships with each other and within ourselves through gatherings designed to renew the body, mind, and spirit.

However and whenever we come together (see our events), be assured you have a seat here.

Cheers,
Jorge Martins
